Some pregnant women are absolutely adorable. You know the type: cute, round little baby bump, stylish maternity clothes, you can’t even tell she’s pregnant. Those women just glow.
And then…there are the other pregnant women. The ones who get so freakishly huge and miserable-looking that perfect strangers are concerned for their well-being.
Who knows why it happens? Genetics? Metabolism? Bad luck? And on the other hand, you get the cute little adorable baby bump that looks chic in maternity clothes. But hey, at the end of the day both types of women get the same thing – the birth of their bundle of joy.
If you’re one of those women who have had a “bigger” pregnancy or are currently having one then you will relate to these 8 things.
Eager Commentators:
This is unavoidable. People love to make comments. Whenever you will go out, you will always meet someone who will be posing questions asking “Are you overdue?”, “Wow, are you sure there’s just one in there?”, “How much longer do you have?”, “You are HUGE!”. You will find it quite annoying to maintain a smile in the face of these inquiries since you are at a loss for words. You simply want to scream, “This is not your responsibility.”
Fascinated Onlookers:
Sadly when you’re ready to pop that baby out, people tend to gawk a little. People are literally staring at your belly with their eyes wide open in horror. In addition, they are requesting that their friends look at you as well. Because of this hump, you begin to feel as though you have turned into some sort of joke.
Maternity Wear:
Pregnant ladies can actually look stunningly beautiful if they are able to find fashionable maternity wear, something that suits their body and taste. However, it can be really difficult to locate flattering clothing when you have a really large stomach because all that is available is baggy clothing that doesn’t look nice at all. Wearing these gives you the impression that you are dressed up and in a circus tent.
Changing Room Evils:
Most dressing rooms are pretty small; so just picture a pretty big baby bump struggling to fit into the confined space while wrestling with the clothes in order to try them on. If you have a hormonal changing room meltdown, don’t worry nobody will judge you.
The Waddle:
Everybody makes duck or penguin jokes when women get super pregnant because of their belly. You can’t help it! You need to waddle! We understand.
Size Can Matter:
Being pregnant causes significant physical changes, therefore it can occasionally be difficult to adjust to your altered shape and size. You will become accustomed to these awkward situations, so don’t worry if you have to squeeze into a small parking space. Yes, it could be embarrassing, but keep in mind that you’re carrying a child!
The Struggle Is Real:
This could not be more true because it gets harder to tie shoe laces, paint your toe nails, and even shaving your legs is like an aerobics class. This occurs for around half the pregnancy! On the plus side, having a large pregnancy does have some advantages. People frequently offer you a seat or wish to assist you in some way, for instance. And hey, if you want to avoid receiving a speeding ticket or something similar, you can always pretend to be in labor.
Weight Gain:
Big belly means weight issues. Of course you will not fall under the category of normal mothers because of your huge bump. Sadly, this can mean that you’ve gained weight EVERYWHERE. Your back is extra strained, but on the bright side, when you do give birth, you’re like, “Phew I can see my feet again!”
Please keep in mind that this is not meant to make fun of any pregnant women. These points are just a little something we came across for women who can relate with one another.
