Lindsay Hay, a mother from New Jersey, has gone viral after sharing incredible pictures of her prenatal journey and displaying her four-baby tummy with her four adorable bundles of joy. Lindsay and Syman, who already have a son named Carson who is three years old, desire to grow their family. They are unaware of the challenges life has placed in the way of their second parenting experience. After giving birth to her first child four years ago, Lindsay Hay, now 28, has experienced numerous miscarriages.
So it was a shock for her and her husband, Syman Hay, when her ultrasound last year revealed they were having quadruplets. The couple couldn’t believe their luck. Their wish for another child has finally come true, but they never thought that they would end up being blessed with four more!
Lindsay was prescribed a hormone called Follistim after doctors determined that poor egg quality was the cause of her miscarriage. She had four children during the third treatment cycle.
While Lindsay and Syman are overjoyed, not all of her doctors share their enthusiasm for the pregnancy. when, before conceiving for the fourth time, she had several miscarriages. Even at that time, she was advised by her doctors to think about selective pregnancy reduction, but she refused.
She claimed that the pregnant process was really challenging. “I am really appreciative that I have a strong passion for being pregnant. If not, managing it will be much more difficult. I was unable to function throughout the first trimester because I was so unwell. My hormones, exhaustion, and nausea multiplied with four babies and four placentas. I would wait until midnight every night to celebrate finishing another day because I was so anxious,” she said.
But Lindsay believes in herself; she chose to keep all of them. Then finally, on July 23, 2019, she welcomed her four joys, Caiden Michael, Madison Grace, Lucas Willam and Grayson James, into the world! All four of them required respiratory support when they were delivered by caesarean section at 30 weeks and 4 days.
Lindsay characterized the 45 days that the four quadruplets spent in the NICU as worry-free and “nothing wrong” because they were all “thriving.” She is thankful that she has progressed this far during her pregnancy despite the fact that she could hardly stand in the final months of it. All she can think as she looks back at her photos is, “My little body did that?!
Lindsay’s body went through a tremendous change during her pregnancy, and the incredible experience revealed “powers” she didn’t even know she could have.
With five wonderful children, we can only imagine the joy and energy that filled the Hay family!
