One mother explains how she conceived two children nine days apart for every 600 million pregnancies. Jordan Parks, a 27-year-old from Doncaster, claims that there are ten cases of super-twins. Jordan describes the brothers, who are now one year old, as “non-identical twins from two separate pregnancies” and notes that they were born on the same day. They are not “normal” twins since they were created from two different eggs and fertilized by two different sperm at two different times. Jordan claimed she and her boyfriend have given up on having additional kids because she needs fertility therapy for her first child Freddy, who is now three, due to her polycystic ovary syndrome. She opted not to undergo hormone treatment again after feeling unwell during it.
Jordan therefore believed it might well be a “miracle” when, at a 10-week scan, she discovered she was carrying two twins. I never imagined I was pregnant, but I bought a test strip to make sure, and the results were positive, said Jordan. I’m in utter disbelief. I couldn’t believe my body did this after being told I was infertile. A miracle, really. Animals can experience superfrtation, but I never in a million years imagined that it would happen to me. That is ridiculous even to consider. I find it hard to believe. Sometimes people don’t even believe me when I tell them I’m pregnant. The group was stunned.
At 22 weeks, an ultrasound revealed that Arthur, the child she had conceived initially, was doing well while her younger child wasn’t, and that Jordan’s brain was stuffed with cysts. The remainder of her pregnancy was not expected to be successful, according to Jordan. She remarked, “You could see how much tiny she was during my pregnancy. She is more likely to survive, according to what we are informed. The doctor admitted that she had never seen a baby survive in this condition. To help Arthur and give him a better chance, I was even encouraged to break my contract with Aubrey. I sat down with Jason and we had a lengthy conversation about what we intended to achieve decided we didn’t want to end and we were going to let the pregnancy go.
We returned for another scan two weeks later to assess the situation. The atmosphere was extremely solemn, as if they were about to inform us that she had died away. “ But that was yet another miracle. We were informed that the baby will survive and that all cysts had disappeared, however she probably needs to spend some time in the NICU. I’m very happy we decided to keep the pregnancy going. From this point on, the pregnancy continues to run quite smoothly, if not entirely easily. Jordan broke her water at 36 weeks, and after an urgent C-section, she gave delivery. She remarked, “There is precisely 1 lb between them. Aubrey, the first child, weighed 4 lbs 12 oz and Arthur weighed 5 lbs 12 oz. I thought that Aubrey might have to be taken to the NICU, but again to everyone’s surprise, she didn’t have to.
The truth is that Arthur had to spend three days in the NICU because of back issues. It’s unsettling because I’ve always been assured that he is a healthy infant.” Although Aubrey’s heart was muttering, the family was assured that there was no need for concern and that both babies have since been born healthy, content, and thriving. Jordan also said “I can’t believe I was lucky enough to experience these wonders because of a rare occurrence. Unbelievable. The only difference is that the mad can distinguish between themselves as they get bigger. Freddy would adore having a brother and sister because the twins get along so well. Fun little balls, they are.
