Tiny Matthew Ifan and Elgan Sion Rees weigh just 1lb 3oz and 1lb 4oz and are just a slim chance for super doctors. Baby Matthew Ifan and Elgan Sion Rees born 24 weeks old weighed just 1lb 3oz and 1lb 4oz at birth . Mum Tracey Evenden and Mark Rees of boys twins are celebrating carrying home today. They moved to four different hospitals for life-saving surgery but mum Tracey Evenden, 38, spent most of the day with her.
“There were times when we didn’t know what the outcome was going to be, it was only hours, so companies thought it was going to happen last night,” Tracey said. But we made it through and hopefully now we’re past the final stage. It’s all just an illusion. It’s a roller coaster ride. We are so excited to finally be able to take it home.”
When the twins were born in October, they were so ill that teacher Tracey and the children’s father, manager Mark Rees, 34, were told they would be gone. Those were the worst announcements we’ve heard, hard to accept. And neither of us wanted to believe it. Fortunately, the children are okay, they are still safe there.
Mark, who also has a 12-year-old son named Ethan with Tracey, said: “We started praying, which we never did. We can’t thank the nurses and all the staff enough, who left as soon as they were done with their work. But anyway, our children are safe, and peace is remembered with the help of everyone in the team.
Our children still need ongoing care and treatment but can now return to their quaint home in Lampeter, West Wales. Nothing can describe this happiness. Thanks God ! heard the prayer. Thank you for always being strong to be with your parents.
