Pregnant Mum Reveals Rude Comments People Made About Her ‘Huge’ Baby Bump

When you’re pregnant, some people think you and your bump are fair game for random touching and unsolicited comments.

Eliana Rodriguez, 29, just gave birth to her second child, a son named Sebastian. Her pregnancy and her baby were healthy, but Eliana larger-than-average stomach drew wide eyes and unfiltered comments: “You are huge,” “You look like you’re having twins,” “You must be in so much pain” and “Have you checked if there’s another baby in there?”

In the video, Eliana, from Las Vegas, Nevada, has bared her bump, and admittedly it is not small.

But whether your bulge is small or large, it’s unlikely that a pregnant person is oblivious of it, therefore it’s puzzling why some people feel the need to freely criticize other people’s bodies.

Eliana said it was easy to ignore Instagram trolls, but people were often nosy in person as well.

“I was never rude back,” said Eliana, who said she understood the curiosity. “I’d answer, ‘Yes, I am huge and it’s hard.’”

Unfortunately, the negative comments didn’t stop there. Nearly 7,000 Instagram users commented on Rodriguez’s post asking similar questions about the size of her bump.

Others have voiced their annoyance at unsolved bump comments, and support for Elaina, with one writing:

‘It’s SO annoying isn’t it,’ one person wrote. ‘I’ve noticed people say this to almost every pregnant woman… There’s a whole baby in there what do they expect?’

Eliana’s comments section quickly filled with supportive statements, with one Instagram user writing: “Twins or not twins no one should harshly judge, or negatively comment about a woman’s pregnant belly… different women are built differently.”

‘People need to put a sock in it,’ said one mum-to-be. ‘Currently pregnant and I am this close to being rude to everyone that has something to say about the size of my belly.’

Eliana has since announced that her son, Sebastian, was born via an emergency C-section on June 11.

Despite the size of Eliana’s baby bump, Sebastian weighed just 8lb 3oz, and was 20.5 inches in length when he was bor

Eliana isn’t the only mother who receives odd remarks about her baby belly; according to one TikToker, her bump was so large that some people mistook it for a fake.

Another woman says she was shamed for the appearance of her post-pregnancy belly, after she’d just given birth to twins.
