Baby Smiling After Being Wrapped In Her Late Father’s Motorcycle Gloves

“They say that angels are talking to babies when they smile in their sleep. I guess maybe that’s true.” – said photographer Kim Stone. She took this beautiful yet heartbreaking photo of newborn baby Aubrey smiling in her sleep while wrapped in her father’s motorcycle gloves. This little angel never got to meet her father, but somehow she knew to smile when placed in daddy’s motorcycle gloves for a photo shoot.

The photo shoot was arranged in honor of Hector Ferrer – the little girl’s father that she never met…

Hector loved riding. His fiancée, Kathryn Williams, also loved his bike and planned to include their daughter in family rides when she got older. Sadly, one month before little Audrey’s birth, 𝐻𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑜𝑟’𝑠 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒 𝑤𝑎𝑠 𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑒𝑛 𝑎𝑤𝑎𝑦 𝑏𝑦 “𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑎 𝑓𝑟𝑖𝑒𝑛𝑑” 𝑖𝑛 𝑎𝑛 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑛𝑡 𝑢𝑛𝑟𝑒𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑜 𝑟𝑖𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔.

To help Aubrey’s mom, Kathryn Williams, cope with the devastation, Aubrey’s grandmother asked photographer Kim Stone to take photos of the baby in a way that would help immortalize her father, who was an avid biker.

Despite her ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡𝑏𝑟𝑒𝑎𝑘, Kathryn went ahead with the shoot, posing her daughter with his motorbike helmet and gloves to commemorate her dad Hector who loved motorbikes.

Photographer Kim, whose bittersweet photo has been seen seven million times, wrote on her Facebook page: “Her Daddy loved his motorcycle. He always wore protective gear. He wanted to make sure he was safe. He couldn’t take any chances with a new baby girl on the way. But he will never hold his baby girl.

“But he will never hold his baby girl. His life was taken just a month before she was born by someone he considered a friend. “

What a beautiful daughter. And also Kathryn is very brave mom. I believe Hector would have been very proud of both of you. This is very sad story. And I feel really sad and sorry about it. And I am also a little pissed, because it is horrible when someone you believed in, was capable to do something like this to your family. I am sending you a lots of strength.

“A viral photo is not what I was seeking,” Stone said. “I just wanted to bring comfort to mom.”

And she did. Williams later told Stone that thanks to all of the support she’s recieved from strangers, she’s felt a sense of calm.

“Every prayer from another is one less weight for me to carry…It’s one more piece of peace I have and one less tear I shed.”

She’s beautiful! I’m so sorry to hear about her father. That first picture makes me believe that he is truly their holding her and shes smiling because she knows he is.
