At a 10 million to one chance, a mother from Colorado was met by a group of identical twin girls. When Casey Saunders, 27, stated that the mother of twin boys was expecting another couple, the likelihood of this happening was one in 70,000, she mistakenly believed that this was hers.

Ten years ago, when Casey was 17, she gave birth to Hayden and Cameron, identical twin sons. When their mother revealed she was expecting again, the twins were ecstatic. Eugene Goree, her partner, also made an excellent pregnancy announcement. She told the Daily Mail that “he was astonished but absolutely enthusiastic from the start.”
You see, the odds of a mother having two identical twins are extremely low—about 1 in 70,000—but having two sets of twins isn’t what makes the story. The fact that her daughters made it through the pregnancy for this mother turns into a fantasy. When Casey went for her first prenatal visit, she learned that both twin girls were growing inside the same placenta. This rare condition is called monoamniotic fluid and it occurs in less than one percent of twins.
Sadly, the illness, also called by its initials MoMo, frequently portends danger. In actuality, at 24 weeks, 20% of MoMo twins pass away. Casey had to remain in the hospital for observation as a result as she started her third trimester. However, despite all the odds, healthy twin daughters were born in December. At 32 weeks, girls are born, and they can return home after 4 weeks. With the exception of diaper-changing responsibilities, the boys are exceedingly kind to their sisters and eager to assist.
